Getting Around Transportation

Regardless of whether you’re vacationing or living in your Los Delfines home, being mobile is an important aspect of living in Costa Rica and on the Nicoya Peninsula.

Luckily, the options are plentiful!

Rental car companies, public transportation, shuttle services and ‘for hire’ drivers are all available right at the Los Delfines clubhouse. There are also independent car rental options, and car-sharing opportunities available within the community.

If you want to explore a different area of Costa Rica, the local Tambor airstrip can accommodate your wanderlust with up to 14 local commuter flights a day, or alternatively, drive right onto the nearby car ferry for a scenic ride across the gulf to the ‘mainland’.

There are more ‘unconventional’ methods of getting around too – water tax and horseback are popular ways to enjoy travelling from point A to B on the Peninsula.

If you’re looking for something more ‘permanent’ that can stay at your property between visits; bicycles, golf carts and all-terrain vehicles are all easily purchased in nearby towns.
